The new BITZER CSVW.26 compact screw compressors recently received their CE designation and UL certification and will now be produced on a large scale. Exceptionally light and compact, the CSVW.26 series provides maximum efficiency in water- and air-cooled liquid chillers with low evaporation temperatures as well as in systems with flooded evaporators. They are environmentally friendly and, besides R134a, are compatible with refrigerants and mixtures with a low global warming potential (GWP) such as the HFO substitutes R1234yf and R1234ze(E) as well as the HFO/HFC blends R513A and R450A.
Other strengths of the CSVW.26 compressors are the new rotor profile optimised for R134a and alternative HFO refrigerants, the improved high-efficiency oil separator and automatic Vi adjustment for operation in a wide range of applications. Additionally, the compact screw compressor has a modern, suction gas-cooled permanent-magnet motor that can even operate at high speeds. In light of their outstanding performance under full- and part-load operation, their simple system integration and the use of future-proof refrigerants, systems with CSVW.26 compact screw compressors meet the highest efficiency standards such as the European Ecodesign Directive (tier 2) and Efficiency Grade 1 of the Chinese regulation GB19577:2015
