60 participants, 30 countries, one prize: topics related to ‘service excellence’ and the presentation of the Outstanding Green Point Award were on the agenda of this year’s Green Point Conference in Beijing. In 2018, the distinction was awarded to Thermocool from Moscow

BITZER requires one thing: always be close to the customer. Therefore, the motto of the fourth Green Point Conference in Beijing from 11 to 12 June was ‘Service excellence for today and tomorrow’. ‘We are there for our customers even after they buy the product – with our Green Point locations, we provide a comprehensive service at more than 50 locations worldwide,’ explains Philippe Maratuech, Managing Director Green Point and Director Services and After-Sales at BITZER. The global network of the company was also reflected at the conference, with over 60 participants from 30 countries exchanging ideas about ‘service excellence’, discussing the status quo in their companies and talking about developments in the field.

And the award goes to …

The Russian company Thermocool was presented with the Outstanding Green Point Award 2018 by Philippe Maratuech alongside the members of the Management Board of BITZER Gianni Parlanti, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, and Rainer Große-Kracht, Chief Technology Officer. This means that Thermocool is the second recipient of this special award which BITZER presents for outstanding service. ‘It is an honour for us to be awarded the Outstanding Green Point distinction. Our sales have increased by 35 per cent since we joined the network. The award recognises this success and will spur us onwards even further,’ says Sergei Demidov, an engineer from Thermocool. The BITZER repair workshop at Thermocool opened its doors in 2002 and the company has since repaired over 3,000 compressors. In order to provide customers with even more services, Thermocool expanded its workshop to become a fully fledged Green Point in 2015. ‘As we use BITZER original spare parts and refrigeration compressor oils, we are able to provide our customers with a one-year warranty on repaired compressors – that creates trust among users,’ says Sergei Demidov.
