High praise for BITZER: the Weltmarktführer-Index has now listed the long-standing company based in Sindelfingen as ‘Global Market Leader Champion 2018’ at position 1 in the Refrigeration Compressor segment. This title is presented by HBM Unternehmerschule of the Executive School of Management, Technology and Law at the University of St. Gallen in collaboration with Akademie Deutscher Weltmarktführer (ADWM).

The Index uses an objective, transparent and verifiable selection process for the current market leaders of Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
One of the criteria for selecting the Global Market Leader Champion is that the company must have its own production and/or distribution companies on at least three of the six continents. It also needs to be a market leader in the relevant global market segment with a proven export share of at least 50 per cent in sales.
South-western Germany is very well represented in the ranking of award-winning global market leaders, including the administrative districts of Esslingen, Heilbronn and Böblingen – where the BITZER Group headquarters are located. All the companies awarded thus far in the Weltmarktführer-Index offer together around six million jobs with annual sales of some €1.5 Trillion euro.
