Rainer Große-Kracht, Board Member and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at BITZER, is the new Chairman of the Association of European Refrigeration Component Manufacturers (ASERCOM). At the annual meeting in mid-January 2018, the qualified mechanical engineer was selected to take over from Stephane Nassau of Danfoss. ‘I’m delighted and see it as a huge honour that the association has placed its trust in me to lead the industry as ASERCOM Chairman during a period of fundamental change,’ says Rainer Große-Kracht. He has represented the long-standing BITZER company based in Sindelfingen in the industry association for six years.
The legal regulations on climate protection are currently going through a major transition, representing a challenge for companies in the refrigeration and air-conditioning industry. According to Große-Kracht, this is an enormous responsibility for the ASERCOM member company and an even bigger one for the industry as a whole. ‘Smaller OEMs and installers in particular often have difficulty coping with the legislation. Here, we want to increase communication with local associations, further improve our recommendations and guidelines, and make them easier to understand. ASERCOM is just the right platform for that,’ says the new Chairman.
