Vietnam: in use for 11 years

Waiting is not an option for Viet Engineering Ltd. and BITZER Vietnam: as one of the first subsidiaries in Asia, BITZER Vietnam provided the tried-and-tested ECOLINE reciprocating compressors with the environmentally friendly refrigerant R134a. This case is nothing unique, as the ECOLINE reciprocating compressors for the R134a/R404A blend were soon ready for operation in Vietnam. Additionally, hundreds of OCTAGON VARISPEED reciprocating compressors have been installed in ECOSTAR condensing units since 2007. Overall, Viet Engineering Ltd. has installed more than 500 reciprocating compressors throughout the country in the past 11 years. Not to mention the numerous screw compressors.

BITZER has been working with its partner Viet Engineering Ltd. in Vietnam for around 20 years. ‘We have developed a close, trusting relationship over the past two decades,’ confirms Truong Ngoc Tinh. ‘We make no compromises when it comes to quality, which is why we work with BITZER. Ever since ECOLINE reciprocating compressors were approved for R134a in 2010, we have been manufacturing systems with the environmentally friendly refrigerant. Over 90 per cent of the systems we fit have frequency inverters that further improve the properties of the compressors. In this way, we ensure that the systems achieve excellent COP and are exceptionally environmentally friendly.’

Indonesia: an extraordinary project

Versatile ECOLINE reciprocating compressors are turning heads in Indonesia with high energy efficiency, robustness and ease of maintenance. BITZER Indonesia has completed an extraordinary project on Java in partnership with Mulia Frozindo. Designed for particularly low temperature applications, two double-stage reciprocating compressors from BITZER have been operating in a refrigeration plant in the coastal town of Banyuwangi since December 2008. They power a condensing unit with a special job: the system flash-freezes fish quickly and safely. It efficiently freezes up to five tonnes of seafood within just six hours. The most important criteria are quality, operating reliability and efficiency. Ultimately, a broken cooling chain represents not only a financial loss, but it puts the health of consumers at risk. BITZER’s compact S6F-30.2 compressor featuring short gas channels, extremely efficient working valves and a patented oil return system is the perfect system for such a challenge. Quiet and with a low vibration level, this reciprocating compressor is available with four and six cylinders. Mulia Frozindo was impressed by the project: the company has been using only BITZER compressors since 2008.

India: top-class air-conditioning in hotels

Climatrol in India relies on semi-hermetic reciprocating compressors from BITZER India. ‘We have been working closely with BITZER for six years now and every year we use around 150 reciprocating compressors from the German company in cold and frozen stores in various regions of India, for example in Lalit hotels in Delhi, Chandigarh, Calcutta and Faridabad,’ says Sher S Sidhi, Managing Director at Climatrol. ‘Reliability and quality are our top priorities, and BITZER has a clear lead over other providers here.
